The John J. Bonica Trainee Fellowship 2025

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 John J. Bonica Trainee Fellowship.

Applicants must be trainee members of IASP at the time of applying and must be able to provide proof of PhD should they be selected for the Fellowship. Applicants are generally in the early stages of their career as this fellowship typically provides funding for post-doctoral opportunities. Generally, applicants are within four years of their PhD however this is not a requirement. 

Each application must include a proposed mentor who agrees to supervise the work of the applicant during the 24-month timeframe. For the 2025 cycle, the mentor must have been a member from at least February of 2024.

Applications are welcome from basic, translational, and clinical investigators working in any area of pain research.
